Hoya Krimson Queen

Hoya ‘Krimson Queen’ is a beautiful, easy-care houseplant with thick, elliptic-shaped leaves with green in the center and a mix of white and pink on the edges. This vining plant will produce beautiful hoya flowers. They can be grown indoors or outdoors but prefer an environment with bright, indirect light. Low-light environments are not ideal for these plants. Some Hoyas do need more water than others.  Most Hoya plants do best in warm temperatures (60-90deg) but all are well suited as indoor plants.   Hoya like be fertilized with a partially diluted houseplant fertilizer every other watering during the growing season. 

Watering: We do what we call the *Taco Test* tell if our Hoya needs watered. The "taco test" may sound like a silly name, but it's one of the most reliable ways to tell when your Hoya or succulent needs a drink. If your Hoya is looking wrinkly or depleted, gently attempt to fold one of the mature leaves, closer to the bottom of the Hoya as you would a soft taco. If the leaf is firm, there is no need to water. If the leaf folds easily then give it a drink!
